Airlines are getting greedy

Now that the industry is getting alive once again why are most of the airlines getting greedy by introducing the "NO COMMISSION" policy.

Napoleon Guines, Managing Director, Travel Lounge

Nap Guines is the Managing Director of Travel Lounge, an agency catering to the travel needs of many Filipinos-Australians in Sydney.
My agency is a small independent travel agency and we just celebrated our 8th year anniversary of existence servicing the community in all their travel needs.
We have managed to survive during the darkest 3 years of our industry, during the Covid-19 pandemic period. Now that the industry is becoming alive once more, why are most of the airlines getting greedy by introducing the “NO COMMISSION” policy?
How can these small travel agencies survive?
I find it insulting after all the struggles we’ve gone through the pandemic period. The fact that we were their backbone on the ground, promoting and selling them to the customers. I find this very wrong.
Is there any agency to lobby on behalf of the many small travel agencies in the country?
