The new committees were confirmed at its AGM held in Sydney recently.
Belinda Harvy will take the reins as president of the executive committee, replacing Caroline Davidson.
Harvy described Davidson as having “such a positive impact not only on Visit USA but on travel to the USA over more than a decade”.
She also acknowledged her committee, “who work so hard to bring the Australian travel trade and our US travel industry members closer together”, and said she hopes they can organise “even bigger and more impactful events in the year ahead”.
Other major appointments include Millie Brown from the Arizona Office of Tourism as vice president, United Airline’s Richard Carrick as treasurer, and Anna Lee, who will continue her role as secretary of the committee.
In support of the executive committee is the ordinary committee, consisting of 12 industry leaders from travel boards across the country, including Tony Soden of Canyon Spirit, Chris Watson from Chris Watson Travel, and Travel Oklahoma’s Claire Mountaine.
The organisation also extended its gratitude to outgoing committee members for their contribution to Visit USA.
