VIRGIN Australia will be returning to Vanuatu and Samoa in March, the airline has confirmed to travelBulletin.
Direct services from Brisbane to Port Vila will commence on 10 March, with up to five flights a week.
Services to Apia will commence later that month, three times a week from Sydney from 21 March, and two times a week from Brisbane from 23 March.
A Virgin spokesperson told travelBulletin the addition of Samoa and Vanuatu to the airline’s network will give fliers a chance to reconnect with family and friends, and a greater choice of Pacific Island destinations.
The move comes two months after Qantas Airways was ticked for almost 1,000 seats on the Samoa and Tonga routes, which it began fully utilising at the end of December.
