Viking launches new agent portal

The cruise line has updated its travel advisor portal with everything needed to book and market online, Janie Medbury reports.

DESIGNED to provide advisors with the tools and resources needed to sell Viking, the new and improved Travel Advisor Portal offers a comprehensive suite of features to enhance the booking experience and streamline the marketing process.

The revamped platform, which can be found HERE, allows agents to access a wide range of tools, such as marketing content and assets.

“For 27 years, curious travellers have explored the world in comfort with Viking, and one of the reasons we have enjoyed success is because of our relationships with travel advisors,” said Torstein Hagen, Chairman and CEO of Viking.

“We have always had some of the most trade-friendly policies, including our history first and only major cruise line with no NCFs. This new and improved portal is the latest step in our effort to be the best business partner for travel advisors.”

New improvements include the ability to search multiple voyage types with intuitive filters to find itineraries by city, port, month or date range; select river and ocean staterooms with an interactive room selection feature; find and book qualifying sailings with Viking’s new offer code search feature; sort bookings by upcoming payment deadlines with the new booking dashboard; as well as search bookings by guest name and filter by booking status.

Agents can now also download a PDF or print a quote for clients; find information about payment, cancellation and commission terms via the updated Travel Advisor Trading Terms & FAQs section; and learn about Viking rewards, incentives and training programs.

The Travel Agent Portal Guide will help agents navigate the new platform while the new ‘Make a Booking’ and ‘Manage My Bookings’ features are supported by a training video, introducing agents to the updates on the portal.
