GLOBUS family of brands (GFOB) has announced the resignation of its Gai Tyrrell, Managing Director for Asia Pacific, effective from this month.
“It has been a privilege and a joy to be part of the Globus family and to lead the business in our region through the past six years of change,” Tyrrell said.
“This has been a difficult decision and one I have not taken lightly, however with major projects completed, and an excellent commercial management team in place, the foundation is set for the next phase of the company growth in our region.”
Tyrrell joined the company in August 2018, as it was celebrating its 90th anniversary. During her time with the brand, she oversaw the company’s restructure in Australasia, steered regional operations through the pandemic, and led expansion into new markets with the appointment of GFOB’s distributor in Asia to represent the company’s portfolio of products across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, and the Philippines.
GFOB President and Chief Executive Officer Scott Nisbet said, “we thank Gai for her energy and contributions leading GFOB through a particularly challenging era in Asia Pacific”.
“During her tenure, our profile in Asia Pacific elevated markedly, she strengthened our Australasian headquarters in Sydney and Auckland, led key commercial projects designed to better meet the needs of our partners and customers, and shepherded our operations through the tumultuous COVID pandemic. We wish her the best of success with future endeavours.”
