Trade in focus for A&K

Luxury operator A&K has been on the lookout for talent in the Australian market for a few months now, with their efforts bearing some early fruit with the company landing the services of veteran travel executive Susan Haberle.

LUXURY operator Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) has been on the lookout for talent in the Australian market for a few months now, with their efforts bearing some early fruit with the company landing the services of veteran travel executive Susan Haberle. The Inspire Collective co-founder joined her brand last month to be its new Head of Sales and Partnerships, where she will be charged with leading the brand’s trade distribution and engagement strategy.

A&K’s Managing Director for Australia, Debra Fox, said the recruitment of Haberle is a significant gain for the brand looking to recover and grow in the local market after the bluster of the last two and a half years.

“Susan brings with her an enviable record in key partnership success and business growth,” Fox said.

Haberle is well known face in the industry, having spent 13 years with APT Travel Group before founding The Inspire Collection with Debra Fox, most notably as the brand’s General Manager of Sales and Customer Experience.

A&K also revealed that Head of Agency Sales, Anne-Marie Chapman, would take on a new challenge for the company by taking on the role of Head of Trade Engagement, a clear nod to how important the brand feels connecting with the trade will be in the months and years ahead.

“These two roles are key in supporting the future growth of A&K in Australia and we congratulate both Anne-Marie and Susan,” Fox added.

Haberle’s role started this month.
