TEG invests further in its sports business

The live entertainment company has acquired two sports businesses.

LIVE entertainment company TEG has invested further in sport, acquiring Left Field Live and Rugby Live.

The acquisitions will see Left Field Live absorbed into TEG Sport, while Rugby Live will rebrand as TEG Rugby Live, and will continue with its existing management team within TEG Sport.

Left Field Live works with leading rights holders to deliver events across a range of sports, including soccer, hockey, and basketball.

It was established in 2014, and seven years later, Rugby Live was created, after the management buyout of the rugby business from Left Field Live.

The rugby specialist works with the national teams of rugby powerhouses such as Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa.

TEG Group Chief Executive Officer Geoff Jones said he is delighted to officially welcome both companies into its fold.

“The team at Left Field Live have been great partners of ours for many years now,” Jones explained.

“We have successfully collaborated to bring some of the most high-profile sporting events and teams from across the globe to this country, and this acquisition marks an exciting new chapter for TEG to better serve its clients and help them grow their reach and connection to fans globally.

“TEG’s continued growth in sport will be accelerated by bringing our long term partners formally into the broader TEG Group…today’s announcement shows our focus and commitment to expand the TEG business from our market leading position in Asia more deeply into the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States.”
