As part of a review of its global operations, Tauck made the call to pull the pin on its Aussie office, with sales and reservations staff to exit their roles via a phased approach starting next year.
Sales roles will be maintained through to 31 Mar 2026, while the US-based operator’s local reservations staff will be kept in place until 15 Dec 2026.
Tauck said it will continue to serve Australian travel advisors through its global sales and reservations teams, adding it would have dedicated teams in place to ensure a seamless transition and maintain its strong local trade relationships.
Outgoing Managing Director Clark said it had been an honour to work with Tauck over the past six years.
“During this time, my team and I have been able to bring this wonderful, historic travel brand to our Australian travel partners and travellers, which has been incredibly rewarding,” he said.
The decision follows a renewed push by Tauck to target advisors in Australia, recently enhancing its rewards program, and launching its biggest advisor incentive in Jan.
