THE acquisition of Journey Beyond by the San Francisco-based Hornblower Group earlier this year continues to change the landscape locally, with the latest change seeing Journey Beyond’s CEO Chris Tallent named as the head of a newly created “overnight division”.
The decision will see Tallent take on expanded responsibilities from Adelaide, where he will be charged with looking after Hornblower’s American Queen Voyages (AQV) division, which offers a range of river, lake, ocean and expedition cruise experiences.
“This division will further benefit American Queen Voyages by having it join the iconic overnight rail and lodging brands of Journey Beyond, and aligning them with AQV to strengthen its global go-to-market strategy, uniting Hornblower’s portfolio to trade partners and further reinforcing the connectivity and alignment between all of Hornblower’s brands,” the company said.
