SOLOMON Airlines has announced the appointment of Airline Marketing Australia (AMA) to oversee its travel agency and travel trade relationships Down Under.
Starting immediately, the marketing agency will represent the Solomon Islands flag carrier in both Australia and New Zealand, where the company has been a long-time representative of the airline.
The new agreement means Solomon Airlines will no longer have a local office in Australia, which was previously headed up by Country Manager Victor Sharan.
“The Airline Marketing team has been a very good partner for us over a long period of time in New Zealand and we are pleased to expand that relationship to Australia,” Solomon Airlines CEO Mr Gus Kraus said.
“As we continue to rebuild our airline operations and the development of tourism to Solomon Islands, we know we are in good hands, especially in this very important year.”
The announcement comes as Solomon Islands prepares to welcome over 5,000 international visitors for the 2023 Pacific Games, which kick off from 19 November until 02 December.
AMA has set up a dedicated phone line for Solomon Airlines enquiries on 1300 072 087 or email [email protected].
