Seabourn Cruises is expected to shortly announce the deployment of its yet-to-launch second expedition cruise ship Seabourn Pursuit in Australia’s Kimberley region in 2024. The ultra-luxury vessel will launch next year, and when it cruises the Kimberley in 2024 will join an increasingly crowded fleet of rivals comprising at least 10 small ships.
Pursuit and sister ship Seabourn Venture carry 264 passengers each and are purpose-built to PC6 Polar Class standards, with an array of expedition options including two submarines, 24 Zodiacs, kayaks and a 26-strong expert team of expedition leaders.
Seabourn VP of Global Sales, Steve Smotrys, told travelBulletin that while the Kimberley was a less familiar destination for Americans, the down under Pursuit itineraries are expected to be very popular with Australian cruisers.
