UNIQUE Cruises founder and Director Walter Nand has announced the sale of the business to Rediscover Travel, which is part of Swish Wish group of companies led by Chris Watson.
Based in Tamworth, Rediscover Travel is a family-owned business that specialises in holiday packages, and has an impressive portfolio of brands under its umbrella, including Chris Watson Travel and Weston Cruise & Travel.
Nand revealed that he will assume the role of General Manager, signalling “great plans” over the coming months for Unique Cruises, which he launched in 2019. The Sydney-based agency promotes niche cruise lines to travellers seeking a cruise experience that’s “beyond the mainstream”, and specialises in European luxury hotel barge holidays.
“The future never looked brighter…Rediscover Travel is amazing and I am looking forward to working even closer with all my travel industry friends and colleagues,” Nand expressed to his LinkedIn followers.
“Huge thanks and gratitude to [Unique operations coordinator] Clarke Pennington, who was invaluable to me in the early days and who set up my systems and processes.”
