The newly unveiled upgrade schedule will see Rockhampton (05-18 Feb), Gladstone (08-26 Feb), Kalgoorlie (08-14 Feb), Tamworth (12-21 Feb), and Coffs Harbour (14-24 Feb) all close this month to allow for the works.
Mackay (15-09 Mar) and Karratha (08-09 Mar) will also briefly shutter facilities as their lounges are upgraded.
The refurbs are part of Qantas’ multi-million-dollar rural lounge investment, which will deliver improved comfort, upgraded amenities and a more contemporary design for customers travelling through these destinations.
Each lounge will receive a refreshed interior featuring a distinct colour palette inspired by the region’s natural landscapes.
Customers can expect modern furniture and improved seating options, refined finishes such as new flooring and updated surfaces, as well as upgraded technology including more charging points and entertainment displays.
