Qantas expands Frequent Flyer deal with China Airlines

Frequent Flyer members can now fly onward from Taipei using points.

QANTAS Frequent Flyers (QFF) can now access reward seats onward from Taipei with China Airlines to more than 75 destinations around the world.

QFF’s expanded partnership with CI means members can use points to book Classic Flight Reward seats on all the airline’s flights, adding more destinations to the 1,200 they can already fly to using points.

Frequent Flyers were previously able to use points to travel on CI between Australia and Taipei only, but can now travel from Sydney to Da Nang in Economy using 37,800 points, or from Melbourne to Amsterdam in Business using 159,000 points.

Qantas Loyalty Chief Executive Officer Olivia Wirth said the Frequent Flyer program is always looking to give members more opportunities to use their points.

“We receive great feedback from our members who have travelled to Taipei with China Airlines, and we know that having access to their full and expansive network will be welcome news,” she said.

“There are more than 5 million reward seats available for booking over the next year on Qantas, Jetstar and our partner airlines.”

Bookings will also be able to be made through the Contact Centre shortly, Qantas said.
