Princess reveals three-ship Australian line-up for 2025

The cruise line's flagship Discovery Princess will join Crown Princess and Grand Princess Down Under.

PRINCESS Cruises has unveiled its 2025/26 Australia program, which features the Down Under debut of its flagship Discovery Princess – the biggest of the line’s vessels to ever sail from the country.

Discovery will join Crown Princess and Grand Princess, and will offer 22 itineraries during her four-month deployment – half of which will depart from Sydney.

Senior Vice President Stuart Allison said Discovery’s Australian debut on 06 December 2025 will be a day to remember, as it will be 50 years to the month since Princess first started cruising in local waters.

The original Pacific Princess sailed on her first round-trip cruise from Sydney in December 1975.

“Cruising has come a long way in half a century, and we’re delighted to now be bringing a ship of the calibre of Discovery Princess to Australia as part of a fantastic line-up of summer cruising,” Allison said.

The program will feature the longest-ever world cruise to sail round-trip from Australia – a record-breaking 114-night voyage aboard Crown, which visits almost 50 destinations in more than 30 countries.

The 35,000-nautical-mile voyage will navigate the Suez Canal to treat guests to two new world cruise ports – Alexandria, Egypt; and Patmos, Greece.

The cruise will also feature overnights in New York City, Lima, and Quebec City, as well as late-night stays in a range of exotic destinations, including Reykjavik and Papeete, all while visiting more than 50 UNESCO World Heritage Sites along the way.

Meanwhile, Grand will be based in Brisbane, and will carry a record number of guests from the city on 14 round-trip cruises to destinations including Tasmania, Papua New Guinea, and New Zealand.

The trio will together offer 75 unique itineraries and 120 departures in total across the summer season, with cruises ranging from two to 37 days.

Sailings will be available from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and Hobart, with all three ships based in Australia to feature the Princess-exclusive MedallionClass experience.

The program will go on sale at 9am AEDT on 29 November for Elite guests, 24 hours before opening for general sale.
