FLIGHT Centre Travel Group (FCTG) has promoted Greg Parker to the role of Chief Executive Officer of the company’s global supply division.
Parker is currently in the role of Managing Director of Global Supply Partnerships, and has worked at FCTG for over two decades.
He will replace Melanie Walters-Ryan, who will retire in Jul after heading up the division since it was established last year.
After a hand-off period with Walters-Ryan, Parker will report to CEO Graham Turner and become a member of FCTG’s “Task Force” global leadership team.
The dedicated supply operation encompasses all Flight Centre brands and locations, with the purpose of bolstering the group’s product offerings, facilitating synergies and negotiating capabilities, and providing partners with a more efficient single access point to the group’s brands.
Turner praised Parker for the results delivered throughout his career with the company, including “year-on-year growth in our supply returns, significantly reducing our cost of ticketing and ensuring we are the distribution chain of choice for our partners throughout the world”.
Parker also managed FCTG’s New Distribution Capability (NDC) strategy, including the acquisition of tech firm TP Connects.
