NSW Government inviting accommodation tenders

The Government of New South Wales is scouring the country in search of more accommodation options for when its people hit the road.

NEW South Wales Treasury is asking accommodation providers to participate in its domestic hotel program for 2023-25 through a request for proposal.

The RFP launched on Monday, and will be facilitated by FCM Consulting, with submissions to be completed by 14 July.

The main objective of the RFP is to increase the Government of NSW’s accommodation inventory, with a strategic focus on rural and remote locations within the state.

FCM will assess whether a property meets the initial eligibility criteria of being in close proximity to the NSW government’s high-volume accommodation cities and towns and/or if it has received more than 100 room nights from state government travellers in the past 12 months.

NSW regions of particular focus include the Central Coast, Central West, Far West, the Hunter, the Illawarra, the Mid North Coast, New England, the Northern Rivers, the Riverina, and the Southern Highlands.

They are also being sought throughout all states and territories, and in Sydney’s regions of Cumberland/Prospect, Eastern Suburbs, Neapean, North, Inner-West, and South Western.

The Government’s e-tendering website can be found here.
