QANTAS members will soon be able to use their Qantas Points to enjoy unique, money-can’t-buy experiences, as part of a new trial for the loyalty program targeting elite earners with high points balances.
These members will be offered access to premium exclusive NBA experiences, only available as points redemptions, including premium seats, access to the pregame warm-up, a personalised team jersey and food and beverage for an NBA game in New Orleans this April (flights and accommodation not included).
There will be a limited number of packages available, which can be secured for 500,000 Qantas Points. Eligible members will receive a direct email from Friday 24 March with more information and instructions on how to book.
Currently, Qantas Frequent Flyers can earn and use their points on a wide array of experiences through Qantas marketplace, including skydiving, harbour cruises, and cooking courses.
“Being able to redeem points on exclusive and premium experiences is a natural progression for our program and we are keen to understand how we can best deliver a product like this to our members through this trial,” Qantas Loyalty CEO Olivia Worth said.
The announcement coincides with a new limited-time offer, which gives all Qantas members the choice of either double Status Credits or double Qantas Points on eligible Qantas flights worldwide.
To be take advantage of the offer, members need to book an eligible flight at qantas.com/berewarded for travel between 29 March 2023 to 28 February 2024, before 11:59pm 28 March 2023 AEDT.
