Respected travel industry leader Emmalita Malmberg (pictured) will lead the Australia Travel Industry Association’s (ATIA) corporate partnerships, in a new role commencing next week.
Based in Brisbane, Malmberg will be ATIA’s new national manager corporate partnerships, leading the expansion of the Association’s corporate partnerships and sponsorships portfolio.
She will bring her more than 20 years’ experience across agency leadership and consortium management to the role.
Malmberg joins ATIA from Link Travel Group, where she led national account management, supplier partnerships, and strategic growth initiatives across the consortium network for almost two years.
Prior to that, she was with Pulse Travel for more than 17 years.
ATIA said the role partly overlaps with the duties previously held by Richard Taylor, who departed the position of director of membership and industry affairs last month.
“Emmalita brings a rare combination of commercial acumen, operational expertise and genuine passion for our industry,” ATIA CEO Dean Long said.
“Her deep experience across consortium, agency and leadership roles means she understands exactly what matters to our members and partners.”
“As ATIA continues to shape the landscape our members operate in, strong corporate partnerships are essential.
“Emmalita will play a critical role in expanding sponsorships for the NTIAs and Beyond Borders, ensuring we continue to deliver meaningful value and opportunities for engagement across the industry.”
Speaking about her new role, Malmberg enthused: “I’m excited to work alongside the team to grow partnerships that support our members and strengthen the industry we’re all so passionate about.”
