THIS week’s addition of Travel Beyond and Eden Corporate Travel to the ranks of the newly constituted Link Travel Group continues the seemingly relentless momentum of the joint venture formed by Goldman Travel, Spencer Group and Flight Centre earlier this year.
Travel Beyond is one of the country’s largest privately owned TMCs, and as a key founding member of CT Partners the switch led by CEO Tim Lane to the invitation-only Link demonstrates just how compelling the new organisation’s offer must be.
In addition to bringing his agency on board, Lane will join the Link Travel Group Advisory Board, alongside the group’s founders, Reho Travel’s Karsten Horne and Platinum Travel Corporation’s Andrew Buerckner. Link GM Scott Darlow said Lane had been selected due to his skills and expertise in a wide range of travel specialisations, including sporting, events, entertainment and corporate travel, complementing the existing Advisory Board members’ expertise.
“Tim has a unique business, and his knowledge, experience and insight into specialist corporate areas of travel will undoubtedly be an asset to our Advisory Board and growing membership,” Darlow said.
Eden Corporate Travel joins Link after departing from Helloworld Business Travel, with the highly esteeemed Sydney-based TMC having four decades of experience with global pharmaceutical companies, medical institutes, finance, engineering and construction clients.
Eden MD Andrew Want said “being invited to join Link Travel Group is an incredible opportunity for Link Corporate Travel to align with industry greats. Link offers an established, long-term vision that is clear and focused – plus access to technology that makes for a very exciting future”.
Eden Corporate Travel was formally inducted into Link on 01 September, while Travel Beyond’s integration will take place early in 2023.
