JULIE Primmer is preparing to depart Helloworld in February 2023, after working as Head of Branded and Associate Networks in Australia for nearly six years.
Primmer joined the travel agency company in 2013, initially as the Head of Branded Network. Prior to that, she clocked up nearly 10 years of experience at Jetset Travelworld as General Manager.
The news was announced yesterday by the company’s CEO, Andrew Burnes, who named Renee Nightingale as Primmer’s replacement.
Nightingale brings two decades of retail travel experience to the role, and is the co-owner of three Helloworld Travel offices in Albury, Wodonga and Wangaratta.
She will retain ownership of her retail travel outlets, which will now be run by senior managers.
Burnes also confirmed the appointment of Andre Moten as Group General Manager of Helloworld Business Travel and Magellan Travel, originally announced in October.
Moten, who joined Helloworld in 2021 as Chief Commercial Officer – Corporate, fills the shoes of Lisa Harrison and David Padman, who both left the company in September.
“Renee and Andre bring an enormous amount of experience and capability across a range of travel distribution businesses,” Burnes said.
“We have a great deal of confidence about the continued relevance and importance of retail agents in both leisure and corporate travel and are investing in the people and the technologies to help our networks deliver an even better customer experience in the years ahead,” he added.
Speaking of Primmer, Harrison and Padman, Burnes said, “each of these individuals worked extremely hard to develop our networks over many years and they made a huge effort in very challenging circumstances during COVID”.
“Together with the Board, I cannot thank them enough for those efforts and we wish them well in their future endeavours.”
