THE iconic Ghan rail adventure from Journey Beyond and the Kimberley Pioneer cruise from Coral Expeditions have just joined forces to create new holiday experiences, where guests will discover some of Australia’s most remote landscapes by both ship and train.
Kicking off in Adelaide, the trip will journey north to Darwin, then westward along the coastline of the Kimberley and into Broome.
“We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with Journey Beyond with the inclusion of our Kimberley cruise product into the rail program from 2025,” Coral Commercial Director Jeff Gillies said.
“This brings together two bucket-list Australian experiences delivered by proud and long-standing experts in Australian travel and tourism”.
”We’re excited to be able to offer this fantastic Kimberley Pioneer and Ghan train and cruise package in 2025 that takes in so many incredible places and experiences,” Journey Beyond Executive General Manager Marketing & Product Justine Lally said.
“Journey Beyond and Coral Expeditions share a strong connection with and respect for the remote and rugged landscapes of this country, and this pairing will offer guests an authentic Australian journey of discovery.”
In addition, Coral Expeditions will team up to offer experiences in conjunction with Outback Spirit’s small group tours.
This will include land-based touring through Northern Australia, connecting with expedition cruise options to the Great Barrier Reef and Cape York departing from Cairns; Arnhem Land and Kakadu sailing from Darwin; and the Kimberley and Northwest leaving from Broome.
Programs are now on sale for travel dates across 2025.
