International member added to APH Board

Australian Pacific Holdings, the parent company of APT Travel Group, has added an international member to its Board, with Peter Liney joining the team.

INDUSTRY stalwart Peter Liney has been welcomed by Australian Pacific Holdings (APH), the parent company of APT Travel Group, as a non-executive Board Member.

Based in the UK, Liney was CEO of Great Rail Journeys for over nine years, a company with whom APH has worked closely with over the years, partnering with them for a number of Travelmarvel itineraries in the past.

Liney has also held a number of senior leadership positions across various travel companies including with tour operators, global travel agent networks, OTAs and airlines.

APH Chairman Simon Jones noted the inclusion of an international member on the Board reflected “our worldwide business operations and commitment to the UK market”, adding “Peter is a terrific addition to our already strong Board of Directors at APH [and adds] vast experience and depth with his long and successful career history in the global travel industry.”

Liney’s inclusion on the APH Board brings its numbers to seven, with the McGeary family making up three of those.

“This valuable expansion of the APH board is further demonstration of the McGeary family’s commitment to the growth and success of the business with the family continuing to also serve on the board,” Jones concluded.
