Insight Vacations launches Women Only tours

Janie Medbury spoke to TTC's Managing Director, Toni Ambler, about the new product offering and the importance of celebrating female travellers.

A FITTING announcement for International Women’s Day, TTC Tour Brands’ Insight Vacations has introduced a new Women Only tour collection, encompassing destinations across Italy, Scotland, Portugal, Scandinavia, Egypt, India, and the United States.

Designed with travellers aged 50 and over in mind, each itinerary will offer three to five departures in 2025 and feature a range of unique and memorable experiences, including a painting class on Italty’s Burano Island with a female artist.

The idea for a female-only tour selection makes perfect sense, TTC Managing Director Toni Ambler told travelBulletin, given that 65% of guests across all TTC brands are women. She also pointed out a rising trend, particularly off the back of the pandemic, of women seeking travel adventures and new connections with like-minded women.

The tours are geared towards those seeking “a little bit of comfort, but at the same time still want to have an adventure and explore amazing destinations with other women”, Ambler explained.

With top-selling destinations like Italy and the United States featured in some of the new itineraries, as well as more dynamic and daring locations like Peru, Morocco and Egypt, Ambler said “there’s something for everybody” in the Women Only range.

“Having that group support of 24 other woman…will really appeal to and encourage more people [to visit] those parts of the world,” she added.

Ambler shared it was important for TTC to go beyond celebrating IWD by making it “more a part of our product offering moving forward to celebrate female travellers and support them in the ways in which they want to travel”.

“We know that they want to get out there and have adventurous trips and but also have it in style and…do it in a really classy, comfortable, sophisticated way, which is why it was really important to start with Insight Vacations.”

Ambler said travellers can expect to see the Women Only range expand into other parts of the world later down the track, as well as potentially into the group’s other brands, including Trafalgar and Contiki.

Agents can book the 2025 departures on the Travel Agent Platform now, HERE.
