TRAVEL tech company Hopper has announced a partnership with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) to make it easier for bank customers to book flights, accommodation and car rental directly via the bank’s app.
The new travel experience in the CommBank app will integrate with Hopper via the company’s B2B initiative, Hopper Cloud, and offer customers the lowest price on 300 airlines, 2 million hotels and 100 rental car companies.
CommBank customers will have several new features at their fingertips, including price predictions, data-driven recommendations, and alert technology when booking flights, hotels and rental cars.
As part of the collaboration, the CommBank portal will also offer Fintech products and servicing capabilities, including self-serve options and concierge services.
Additionally, CommBank customers will be able to earn and redeem rewards through the Hopper-powered platform, which will be integrated into the CommBank Awards program.
CBA’s Group Executive, Retail Banking, Angus Sullivan said, “through our new exclusive relationship in the Australian market with Hopper we can help customers dream, plan and book travel, and manage their travel finances, all in one place within the CommBank app.”
Hopper President and Co-Founder Dakota Smith enthused, “CommBank is a leader in innovation and financial solutions in Australia, making them the ideal partner for Hopper Cloud. With this new exclusive arrangement, we’ll be able to create an end-to-end travel offering for their customers, complete with world-class flexibility and disruption products to improve the traveller experience,”
