HELLOWORLD has announced the appointment of former Crown Hotels CEO Peter Crinis as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), effective 03 July.
Helloworld CEO Andrew Burnes said the announcement comes at a “crucial time” as the company continues to recover from the impacts of the pandemic. “Peter will make an outstanding contribution towards many varied and important elements of the Helloworld business across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and around the world,” he enthused.
Crinis brings extensive travel, tourism and hospitality experience to the role, having worked in a number of executive positions within Australia, most recently as Managing Director at hospitality and management consultant, Anchor Consultancy.
He also racked up 25 years of experience at Crown Melbourne before being named the CEO of Crown Hotels nationally in 2021, where he oversaw developments and properties in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, and the operation of eight hotels across the Crown portfolio as well as its 25 international and luxury brands.
The Melbourne-based hospitality stalwart said he has worked with Helloworld for over 20 years, stating that the company has “been great partners of Crown throughout that period”, adding that he is “delighted to be on the other side of the fence working with such an incredibly dedicated group of professionals in the various Helloworld retail agency networks”.
Crinis currently sits on the board of Visit Victoria and several charitable organisations, and was also a board member of the Melbourne Convention Bureau for eight years from 2010 to 2018.
