The shift will take place on 15 Jul, with Globus family of brands (GFOB) now on the hunt to find a new local chief to cement the new restructure.
During his time steering GFOB in APAC, Hall was credited with refreshing the company’s approach to product, pricing and marketing, with one of his key objectives to deliver sharper travel packages with more delineation from competitors in the local market.
Hall led the introduction of fly-free and flight-inclusive deals across Avalon Waterways and Globus, while industry advisor training initiatives also increased under his tenure.
“Chris has shown great leadership of the APAC region over the past twelve months, bringing a laser sharp focus to our product offering and pricing in market and ensuring Globus, Avalon and Cosmos brands are set up for future growth,” said GFOB president and chief executive officer Scott Nisbet.
“The APAC region holds great potential for our brands, so we are investing in the team to create the chairman and strategic advisor role while also appointing a new MD to continue with the execution of the refreshed strategy,” he added.
Commenting on his future at GFOB, Hall said he looked forward to honing GFOB’s strategic approach in the region in addition to his director duties as chair.
“At GFOB, we’ve evolved significantly over the past 12 months, working to sharpen our offering and go to market with an even more competitive product.
“We have expanded our destinations and itineraries, refined our value proposition and can proudly say we offer market-leading value to our customers, while delivering an exceptional experience across our brands.”
