FCM wins NT government travel contract

The Flight Centre Travel Group corporate offshoot will manage international travel for the NT government.

FCM has been appointed to Government of the Northern Territory’s international travel management panel.

The appointment follows a rigorous tender process and supports the Flight Centre Travel Group business’ commitment to government travel.

Flight Centre Corporate Managing Director Melissa Elf said FCM’s local presence underpins the ability to navigate the unique nuances of travel within and from the NT.

“FCM is committed to the Territory, we mean what we say, and we’re mutually invested in advancing the Territory, its local operators, and its people,” she enthused.

“Our Darwin office was opened 15 years ago and we’re proud to have kept that local presence.

“Since then, we have expanded our Darwin-based operational team and we’re particularly proud of the fact that our local team knows exactly how to support travel in and around the Territory because they are themselves Territorians.”

Elf said FCM’s dedicated government division lets the business to modify its support for state-level clients.

“This allows us to really customise our support model, technology, integrations, and interactions to suit many different travellers, bookers, administrators, and management – meaning all levels of travel experience is catered for,” she said.

“This appointment is testament to our teams on the ground and the relationships we’ve built over the past 15 years.”
