I have just returned from an unforgettable four-day getaway to the Northern Territory, where I embarked on AAT Kings‘ inaugural Kings Canyon, Uluru and Kata Tjuta tour.
It’s a new short break itinerary that the brand launched earlier this year, designed to create immersive yet time-efficient travel experiences in the NT.
AAT Kings also recently launched a three-day short trip to Kings Canyon and Uluru. Both breaks allow AAT’s guests to enjoy the Top End’s iconic attractions without the need to rush to each site, although guests are welcome to combine them with an extended getaway.

For me, one particular highlight of the tour was when we enjoyed the magical Field of Light experience at Uluru, after a 5am wake-up call.
It was pitch black when we arrived, until we caught glimpses of glowing bulbs across the field and watched the sun slowly rise over the horizon while sipping cups of tea and hot chocolate. The scene was majestic.
We also visited Mutitjulu Waterhole, enjoyed the Kings Canyon Tim Walk and explored Walpa Gorge at Kata Tjuta.
