Expedia TAAP gets chatty

“Travel agents play a crucial role in the travel landscape, and we’re thrilled to provide them with the resources they need to have an even bigger impact on today’s travellers," according to Expedia TAAP's Stuart Udy.

A SIGNIFICANT upgrade to the Expedia Travel Agent Affliate Program (TAAP) platform will help travel advisors “save time and focus on delivering exceptional traveller experiences,” accoreding to TAAP Retail Distribution Director Australia and New Zealand, Stuart Udy.

The enhanced features include Live Agent Chat, which now connects consultants with a human agent online at any time, with the additional support channel available to the industry in Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

New capabilities also include a quote management system, allowing advsiors to name and save quotes for future reference. They can be reviewed and modified, and saved quotes can be used as a quick template to create a booking, while the update allows agents to track and manage all their quotes in a single place for improved visibility and convenience, Udy said.

“As part of our continuing commitment to helping travel agents deliver incredible experiences for the travellers they serve, Expedia Group is further innovating our TAAP solutions to put the most useful tools at their disposal,” he said.

Expedia is also expanding its suite of marketing assets for agents, offering over 300 customisable templates for social media, email marketing, web banners and more. “The marketing suite is designed to help TAAP agents gain a competitive edge by increasing visibility and engagement with travellers,” Udy added, noting TAAP’s extensive portfolio offering more than one million hotels, 500 airlines, 175 car rental options and 200,000 activities.
