Corporate Travel Management has announced a rebrand of its specialist Events division in a move designed to help clients better manage their demand for events while driving greater value from their business travel budgets.
The new business unit is known as ‘CTM Meetings and Events’, with the rebrand taking effect this week.
Following the rebrand, CTM says its new Meetings and Events arm will be positioned to design corporate event experiences that deliver long-lasting results through improved budget control, enhanced operational efficiencies and heightened attendee experiences.
CTM Meetings and Events AU/NZ General Manager, Nicole Kolotas, said online conversations and calls can only achieve so much, and people prefer to engage in person.
“Our customers’ feedback shows that the thing they love most about travelling for business is the opportunity for collaboration,” Kolotas said.
“It’s often the incidental moments at live events that strengthen business relationships – the conversation sparked by the previous session’s speaker or the casual brainstorming over a shared meal”, Kolotas said.
The rebrand comes as CTM’s 2024 Global Customer Survey shows business meetings and corporate events continue to rebound and grow, with 90% of respondents expecting to travel the same amount or more for meetings in the coming year, with 85% concurring for internal meetings and 84% for conferences and tradeshows.
“Our survey also revealed that when it comes to business events, our Australian and New Zealand customers most valued ease of travel, competitive pricing and cutting-edge technology,” Kolotas added.
“Now, with a stronger integration with CTM’s corporate account management teams, we’re in a great position to deliver these experiences to businesses, leveraging CTM’s buying power, supplier relationships, and proprietary technology.”
