Cruise Lines International Association’s annual Awards will return on March 11 for the Australian cruise sector’s biggest night of celebration in three years.
Having been on hiatus since 2020, next year’s Awards will be the 20th time “the CLIAs” has been hosted, in what will also be a celebration of the cruise sector’s resilience.
Nominations for the CLIAs opened yesterday, with the cruise sector invited to honour the determination and resilience shown by the travel advisor community in Australia.
The winners of the 18 award categories will be announced at Big Top Sydney at Luna Park, with actor Tim Campbell to return as host.
Award nominations are open for the month of November to all current CLIA members, and 11 of the categories will be open to self- or peer nomination.
CLIA’s local Managing Director Joel Katz said next year is the perfect time to bring back the Awards, which will play a special role in recognising the tenacity of Australia’s travel advisors, as well as their expertise and success.
“Over the past few years, we’ve seen extraordinary courage and conviction from our travel agent members who have rallied behind cruising and helped put us back on a course for recovery,” he said.
