CATO to host World Earth Day event in Brisbane

Fortitude Valley's Callie Hotel will host the event.

THE Council of Australian Tour Operators has announced a World Earth Day lunch event in Brisbane at The Callie Hotel.

The 21 April event is open to all members of the travel industry, with tickets available now at $135 per individual or $1,350 for a table of 10.

Attendees will enjoy a two-course meal, beverages, and post-event networking, as they raise awareness of the need to protect Earth’s natural resources for future generations.

The major sponsor of the event will be G Adventures, with the Italian National Tourist Board, and Hurtigruten as supporting sponsors.

“As the peak industry body for the land-supply sector, it is important that we take a lead in highlighting the need for a sustainable and responsible approach to travel,” Managing Director Brett Jardine said.

“At our lunch time event, guests will be inspired by leaders from across the travel industry in a thought provoking and impactful panel discussion, designed to educate and stimulate further discussion.”
