Bula from the Fiji Tourism Expo!

TAKING place over the past weekend, the Fijian Tourism Expo (FTE) was a huge success, with international buyers and media gathering at the Denarau Island Convention Centre to meet with Fijian suppliers.

The resounding message of the expo has been that Fiji has bounced back better then ever. Tourism Fiji CEO Brent Hill shared that the Pacific nation is expecting its 1 millionth visitor since reopening next month, with the country’s tourism well on its way to being a FJD$3 billion industry.

“Our collective goal is to enhance Fiji’s position as a worldclass leisure destination. I’m really excited about where we are, as a destination the inroads that we’ve made over the last 12 months, and the possibilities that lie ahead”, Hill explained.

Premier sponsor of the event, Fiji Airways, also reported a bumper year with bookings for 2023 already exceeding the pre-pandemic numbers of 2019.
