BONZA touched down in Victoria for the first time today, arriving at Avalon Airport from the Sunshine Coast.
Today’s historic flight marks the third route launched by Bonza, and comes ahead of the airline going on sale from its Melbourne hub later this week.
An additional 12 routes will go on sale in addition to the 15 which are currently available, with flights between AVV and MCY going on sale for as little as $79 per person three times per week.
“Queenslanders can now fly direct to Avalon for a wide range of holiday experiences in Melbourne, Geelong, the Surf Coast and the Great Ocean Road,” Chief Executive Officer Tim Jordan declared.
“Likewise, Victorians can now fly direct from Avalon to the Sunshine Coast to visit loved ones and take a well-earned break.
Avalon Chief Executive Officer Tony Brun said connecting the airport with the Sunshine Coast will reap benefits for travellers from Geelong, greater Melbourne, and the surrounding regions.
“This launch today provides more choice, competition and opportunities for travellers to enjoy more of this great country.”
