THE business travel sector has been snowballing, and Bonza vouched not to be one of the airlines to miss the opportunity to offer keen event planners a more accessible option.
The launch of the dedicated channel of the low-cost carrier’s Group Travel Champions will allow a seamless planning and booking process when there are ten or more travellers in the pack.
Implementing this new service has been a long time coming, as Tim Jordan, CEO of Bonza, stated that the airline has “seen healthy demand for group bookings as more people are choosing to travel to regional locations for business events.”
There’s also a very healthy appetite to travel Bonza for sporting events,” Jordan added.
The travelling group can receive quotes provided by the new booking division as long as the group size spans over 10 or more travellers, and the quote will include 23kg of checked baggage, 8kg of hand-carried luggage and seat selections.
A 25% deposit must be fulfilled within seven days, with the passenger names and full payment to be submitted 30 days before departure. To further expand the airline’s flexibility, late-mind changers can change the names on the bookings at no extra cost if notified two days before take-off.
As the bustling travel season is approaching, the new service will allow more organisations to cater celebratory getaways with their staff to popular Christmas destinations, including Cairns, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.
“We are hearing from a number of organisations who are choosing to celebrate the end of the year with a trip across our network for the same price as a traditional restaurant booking or catered event,” added Jordan.
