THE arrival of Titan Travel into the Australian touring marketplace brings a new trade-friendly option into the market for travel advisors looking for award-winning, expert-led touring holidays.
There’s no doubt about the strength of Titan’s backing, with the longstanding operator part of London Stock Exchange-listed Saga Travel Group which is headed up by John Constable (pictured above) – himself no stranger to the Australian travel agency market through his previous tenure as Group General Manager of Helloworld Travel Limited.

Constable said “as we continue to grow our renowned touring program, we’re delighted to launch Titan to the Australian market in partnership with Ascend Travel Group”. Ascend is, of course, the new business formed by former Helloworld executives Julie Primmer and Linda Wallace, which will be Titan’s local General Sales Agent.
“Australia boasts a strong retail travel market where travel agents are highly considered and valued for their expertise, and as the leading escorted tour operator of choice for UK travel agents, it makes it a natural market for Titan to expand into,” Constable added.
“We’re confident that Titan’s product will be greatly received by travel agents across the country looking to sell award-winning, expert-led touring holidays, and will provide bring an exciting, innovative and expansive range of product choice to its already established touring market. We look forward to welcoming our first Australian customers on one of our tours soon.”
Titan will allow Australian travel agents to package a Titan escorted tour alongside their own travel product and flights to sell to their clients as part of a tailor-made holiday. A new dedicated brochure has been produced, under Titan’s “Adventure Made Effortless” tag line, featuring more than 100 itineraries to destinations across the globe including Europe, Asia, North America, Africa and Asia. Touring styles encompass small group tours, active tours, more relaxed single and two-centre holidays and even dedicated solo traveller departure dates.
Primmer and Wallace said they were thrilled to launch the new venture and drive sales through strategic commercial agreements and activity with selected partners.

The program will be showcased in an upcoming national roadshow, with Titan to provide dedicated support to local travel advisors and more details expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
