ATIA pulls back curtain on local competition with new industry insights

The industry association is pulling back the curtain for businesses to measure their performance against peers, reports MATT LENNON.

Travel businesses can now access personalised market insights, data and reports into competition in their local area or industry segment as part of a new benchmarking initiative from the Australian Travel Industry Association.

Launched two months ago at Beyond Borders as part of its suite of Project A30 initiatives, the benchmarking reports are built on de-identified economic data to help businesses uncover market trends for the purposes of business strategy, competition and to fuel growth opportunities.

Reports evaluate each ATIA member’s business performance against other businesses both in a geographic area and industry segment, with the association saying the reports represent a new standard in business intelligence for the travel sector.

ATIA Chief Executive Dean Long said data-driven insights are essential to staying competitive.

“Our ATIA Individual Benchmarking reports are market-leading and transformative, giving ATIA-accredited businesses a very real edge in understanding their position in the market and how to plan for future success,” Long said.

“These benchmarking reports give our members the clarity they need to make informed decisions and adapt to market conditions with confidence.”

“At ATIA, we are committed to continuing to deliver value for our members through tools, initiatives, and advocacy that strengthen their businesses. The Individual Benchmarking Reports are just one example of how we are driving innovation and equipping our members for success in a rapidly evolving industry.”

Reports can now be accessed via the ATIA Membership Portal.
