AFTER close to three decades of operation, travel and tourism communications agency Anne Wild & Associates (AWA) will close its doors at the end of June.
The reason for the upcoming closure was driven by founder Anne Wild’s (pictured) desire to take a break and plot a change in her career arc to take some time out and see the world.
“It’s not a decision I’ve taken lightly – running the agency has given me immense personal and professional fulfilment, so writing this post brings with it a mix of emotions,” Wild said on LinkedIn.
“However, after almost 30 years, I find myself eager for change and increasingly drawn to applying my experience within a single organisation – helping shape strategy, reputation and growth with a firmer hand on the wheel.
“What that looks like just yet, I’m not entirely sure, however, the travel and tourism industry has been such a defining part of my career that I can’t imagine stepping too far away from it for long,” Wild added.
The well-known agency owner said that over the coming months, her team will be working closely with her loyal clients to ensure they are well supported in securing new representation, while also helping AWA’s team members move on to “exciting new opportunities”.
“[My team is] truly among the best in the business, and have been incredibly supportive as I’ve planned this transition.”
