CARNIVAL Corporation has announced the appointment of Stuart Allison as the UK’s P&O Cruises’ Chief Commercial Officer, among a number of structural changes at the company.
Allison, currently Princess Cruises Senior Vice President Asia Pacific, UK, & Europe, will take up the new role in October to support P&O’s commercial growth ambitions.
Rob Coleman has also been appointed as Senior Vice President North America & Australia Sales for both Holland America Line and Seabourn Cruise Line, which will see the two brands combine their sales teams.
Coleman will continue to report to Holland America Chief Commercial Officer Beth Bodensteiner, while reporting into him from Australia will be local Director of Sales for both cruise lines, Alex Pikardt.
“Our field sales team already is experienced in representing both Holland America Line and Seabourn, and combining forces makes us a powerhouse,” Coleman said.
“This will be highly beneficial for travel advisors who already work with both brands, providing consistency, focus and enhanced support for their businesses.”
The new structure will also see Tara Schreiner promoted to Vice President National & Strategic Partnerships for both cruise lines, while Seabourn Vice President Sales & Trade Relations Steve Smotrys will leave the company in September.
“Combining the two sales teams enables us to leverage and integrate industry-leading reporting, analytics and commercial trade programs for both brands,” Seabourn President Natalya Leahy said.
Carnival added the introduction of the new role to the company’s United Kingdom executive team, which will report into Carnival UK President Paul Ludlow, is part of plans to enable the delivery of P&O’s long-term strategy, and realise the full potential of the growing British cruise market.
