Adventure World hires former RSSC staffer Elsa McLean

Adventure World has appointed Elsa McLean to the position of Head of Sales, a role she formally assumes today.

According to the company, McLean will bring a unique blend of expertise with a focus on the luxury market, helping to drive the company’s future growth strategy.

“We are genuinely delighted to welcome Elsa to our leadership team,” said Neil Rodgers, Managing Director in a statement.

“I have the utmost respect for Elsa, both for her impressive professional achievements and her personal integrity. She cultivates strong, enduring relationships with her business partners. Her deep commitment to sustainability and purposeful travel aligns perfectly with Adventure World’s mission, making her a natural fit for our team.”

McLean will also lead sales initiatives across Australia and New Zealand for the company’s GSA partnerships with Lindblad Expeditions and Star Clippers.

McLean enjoyed a long tenure at RSSC based in Qld, having being promoted through the sales team for close to a decade.

“I am truly excited to join the dynamic team at Adventure World and empower our partners and travellers to embark on extraordinary and responsible journeys,” said McLean. “Together, we will build upon the foundation of exceptional travel experiences.”

Outside of accruing extensive cruise experience, McLean also brings knowledge of the travel agent and accommodation sectors to her latest position.

McLean replaces Andrew Eddy in the position, who made the call to return to Hurtigruten in Jan to be its Sales Director Asia Pacific
