IN a move to ensure product consistency across Australia, Singapore Airlines’ lie-flat Business class seats are now available of flights to all six major cities, as well as Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington.

The lie-flat seat, which offers direct aisle access thanks to the 1-2-1 cabin layout, can be converted into a 78-inch fully-flat bed with cushioned headboard. The seats also feature a side console above the armrest for laptop storage, a personal 18-inch HD LCD screen with noise-cancelling headphones, a video touchscreen handset, and a comprehensive in-flight entertainment system.

Higher ceilings, larger windows, an extra-wide body and lighting designed to combat jetlag are all features of the A350-900, which Singapore Airlines has deployed on the Singapore-Melbourne-Auckland route most recently, matching the business class product available from Singapore to other major Australian cities. Passengers are also able to use the Singapore Airlines Companion App to pre-select their favourite video and audio content before boarding.

“The enhanced comfort of the aircraft cabins, combined with the luxurious cabin products and our famous Singapore Airlines service ensures our customers are provided with the highest quality of choices regardless of what destination they are flying from in the region,” said Singapore Airlines Regional Vice President, Philip Goh.
