COMBINING the in-demand segments of expedition cruising and wellness, Coral Expeditions has crafted its new Revitalise on the Reef Wellness program, cruising the pristine waters of the Great Barrier Reef.

Commencing in 2021 and taking place aboard the “yacht-like” Coral Discoverer, sailings will feature a range of health-oriented itineraries including yoga, meditation and nutrition.

All programs have been curated by wellness expert Kris Abbey, who believes the fusion between cruising the world’s largest coral reef and the concept pf wellness is a natural fit for promoting better vitality and wellbeing.

“Wellness and the Great Barrier Reef are the perfect synergy, there is no better destination to immerse yourself into the wonderful world of wellness,” she said.

“To wake up with the sun, enjoy clean fresh food, explore nature’s stunning island playground means returning home healthier for the experience,” Abbey added.

The new program will explore the lesser known outer reefs and islands of the Reef’s north, and will include destinations such as the Daintree Rainforest, Hope Island and the remote Osprey Reef, the latter of which was once described by Sir David Attenborough as “an oasis for living creatures of all kinds”.

Coral Discoverer has a capacity to carry 72 guests and is designed to reach remote locations that larger vessels cannot access, but also boasts a number of sought-after amenities on board such as two outdoor bars including the Xplorer Bar, which offers panoramic views on the sundeck.
