Keith Prowse claims enthusiastic response to new event ticketing system

KEITH Prowse Sport and Entertainment Travel says the company signed up over 200 travel agencies within four weeks of launching its new online portal.

The portal, at www.keithprowse.com.au, has successfully incorporated a one-stop ticketing and content solution for travel agents, according to Keith Prowse managing director John Godwin.

Powered by TicketSwitch software the portal can enable agents “to sell more event tickets efficiently and profitably”, he claims.

“Event tickets are sourced directly from supplier inventory systems. Travel agents are therefore able to avail themselves of highly competitive prices benefitting from reduced back office administration as well as inventory availability right up to just before the time of the event,” said a statement from Keith Prowse announcing the development.

Said Godwin: “The take-up has exceeded our expectations with significant interest from a wide array of agencies. We expect to reach our first quarter sales target within the first two months.

“Agents are now able to book events all over the world from just one website in addition to packaging accommodation and having real-time confirmation of purchase.”

Godwin added that strategic and exclusive product deals can be tailored for travel agents, travel management services, leisure travellers and corporate clients. Keith Prowse will also be offering customised own brand white label solutions to key partners.

“The portal (enables) travel agents to source a wide range of event tickets from a single platform in the same way as hotels, flights, car hire and airport transfers are sold, ultimately enabling their customers to access the best prices available direct from the box office,” he said.

He said dynamic package functionality with online availability and instant confirmation is a key advantage of the platform which provides real time access to “best available” live inventory to over 1000 ticketed events for theatre, opera, ballet, comedy, attractions, theme parks, sightseeing and tours in 100 major cities across 17 countries.
