GERMANY National Tourism Board has launched a new online database for accessible travel, listing holiday facilities throughout Germany that are able to be accessed by those with limited mobility.
Entitled ‘Travel for All’ the database includes national labelling and an “Accessiblity Checked” seal for facilities including accommodation, restaurants, activities, shopping centres and essential information such as accessible travel and local tourism offices.
Users can search for facilities and the database includes an online map, showing the location of the facility as well as providing links directly to the supplier and a certification on how accessible it is (ranging from offering “Information about Accessibility” to “Accessibility certified”).
The database is currently available at germany.travel.
