FOLLOWING hot on the heels of hosting the 2019 Rugby World Cup, Japan is set to further boost its events credentials by playing host to the 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Tokyo during July and August next year.

To experience the events firsthand, the only way to get your hands on tickets is through authorised seller CoSport.

While unfortunately all individual tickets to events are sold out, travellers can still get a chance to see the Olympics by purchasing a package from CoSport which includes accommodation along with tickets to events.

There are three different packages: premier, sport specific and flex package. Premier package offers 4-star accommodation, pre-selected tickets to certain events, transportation and VIP hospitality. For the Sport Specific Package, accommodation is three or four-star and tickets are also pre-selected to certain events. Finally the Flex package allows travellers to choose tickets from an inventory of events, plus three- or four-star accommodation.

Travel agents can receive special incentives but make sure you get in quick as many tickets and packages have already been snaffled up.

To book, register with CoSport at cosport.com/travelagents.

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics will run from 24 July to 9 August 2020, with an impressive 7.8 million tickets expected to be sold prior to the opening ceremony.
