Top 3 to Ski

BIG WHITE, CANADAski low res

Already known to many Aussie skiers and boarders, Big White is popular for good reason. There are 105km of trails, with fantastic dry powder, long tree lined runs and generally sunny weather.

The terrain at Big White is spectacular with options for everyone. In particular intermediate skiers will have plenty to choose from with 54% of the mountain designated blue runs. For those looking to hone their freestyle skills there is also the award winning TELUS Terrain Park.

As the largest totally ski in ski out resort in Canada there are plenty of accomodation options to choose from. Activities in the village cater for everyone with snow tubing, ice skating, as well as a feast of restaurants and pubs and bars.

DAVOS, SWITZERLAND

Davos is the largest ski resort and widely regarded as one of the best in Europe. It encompasses five separate ski areas with over 100 runs, spread out over a massive 320kms. You could literally ski here for weeks.

Davos is mostly suited to intermediate to expert skiers and boarders as there are technically no green runs, and also it requires some experience to navigate through this huge terrain. The size of the resort also means that there are fewer crowds than smaller so if your clients are keen for a challenge Davos should be top of their list.

The town of Davos itself also has plenty to offer off the slopes including the largest outdoor ice rink.

BEAVER CREEK, USA

Situated about an hour’s drive from sister resort Vail in the Colarado Rockies, Beaver Creek has plenty for everyone.
Home to the 2015 Alpine World Ski Championship held earlier this year, there are runs to challenge even the most proficient skiers and snowboarders.

Beaver Creek is also a haven for kids. In the afternoon around 4:00pm there is cookie time in the village, which is exactly as great as it sounds. Friendly cooks hand out freshly baked warm cookies to weary snowbunnies. There are also special family zones on the mountain and kids adventure zones amongst the trees for your tiny shredders.

Although a little bit on the pricier side, there are many luxurious ski in ski out options to choose from.
