INTREPID Travel is doing its part to get families off their smart devices and into the great outdoors, recently introducing three new family cycling adventures in March 2020.

The trio of 10-day tours take place in either Morocco, Thailand or Vietnam, with prices leading in at $1,650 per adult and $1,485 per child. Each trip is designed to appeal to the appetites of adults and children alike.

Commenting on the launch, Intrepid Travel’s family travel expert Dyan McKie said that the notion of holidays that can help disconnect families from their busy lives is now more important than ever before.

“It is important for families to press pause on their busy everyday lives to reconnect with their children,” McKie said.

“Overcoming challenges, pushing boundaries and doing activities together as a family is a great way to connect to each other, which is why our annual Adventure Travel Index shows that more adventurous holiday destinations are continuing to rise, with locations such as Thailand up 47% and Vietnam up 23% since 2018,” she added.

Highlights of the cycling trip in Morocco include explorations through the blue town of Chefchaouen to admire its colourful architecture, as well as a musical performance in Marrakech to witness a native drumming and dancing routine.

Kids embarking on the Thailand cycling adventure will be excited to take the opportunity to sleep in a real-life jungle treehouse and jungle cabin, in addition to taking a longtail boat ride past limestone karsts and the crystal waters of Phang Nga.
