LEMALA Ngorongoro Tented Camp, located on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, has undergone an extensive refurbishment designed to provide a warmer and more intimate lodging experience.

The camp’s nine furnished tents have new heating and roof liners, along with updated carpets, curtains, cushions and en-suites. Other facilities within the camp were also refurbished, with the communal dining tent and adjoining lounge and bar sporting increased capacity due to the addition of new chairs and tables, along with new curtains, sofas, cushions, place mats and table runners.

Guests can also relish a fresh menu and drinks range and be treated to a cultural dining experience where local Maasai members of the staff sing and dance around the fireplace prior to dinner.

The upgrades complement the existing guest amenities of internet service and charging stations in the lounge and bar, with 24-hour solar electricity and back-up generator ensuring accessibility for guests.

Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp is set in an ancient acacia forest close to the eastern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, offering private accommodation and quick access to the crater for game drives.

Guests staying at the camp usually have an hour’s head start over others descending via the far busier Seneto crater access road on the western rim.
