InterContinental to debut voco in Africa

INTERCONTINENTAL Hotels Group (IHG) will debut its upscale voco brand in South Africa this year, with voco The Bank set to open its doors in Rosebank, where it will be close to central Johannesburg and provide a direct link into the Rosebank Mall and Gautrain Metro station. The 131-room hotel will feature a two-level restaurant, a lounge and bar, plus three meeting rooms. The property marks the first signing under IHG’s Master Development Agreement with Valor Hospitality Partners Africa, which will see it roll out numerous franchise hotels across the continent over the next 10 years.
